Peer-Review Policy

Peer-Review Policy: Peer review process is designed to assess the validity, quality and originality of articles for publication. Reviewers play an essential role in validating the research submitted and providing constructive feedback to the editors and authors. You can find further more details about the process here.

Editorial Policies

Our editors evaluate submitted manuscripts, and those that warrant further consideration are sent out for in-depth review. Manuscripts require a minimum of two reviews to be accepted. Alcrut does not accept pre-submission inquiries or re-submission of manuscripts that have already been rejected for reasons related to novelty or impact. If authors disagree with a reject decision made on the basis of serious reviewer error on a technical point, they can appeal the decision by submitting a formal appeal and must submit the appeals within four weeks of decision date to be considered. Post that, editors will review the appeals and then decide on appropriate steps. Responses to reviews and revised manuscripts will not be considered with appeals unless requested by editors. Alcrut uses a highly selective peer review process drawing from and beyond the full pool of reviewers.

Appeals and Complaints

Even in cases where editors did not invite re-submission, some authors ask the editors to reconsider a rejection decision. These are considered appeals, which, by policy, must take second place to the normal workload. Although we strive to provide a decision on an appeal within 14 days, on some occasions it may take several weeks. Decisions are reversed on appeal only if the editors are convinced that the original decision was made in error or critical new information or data has been added. If the manuscript was reviewed, the editor may also discuss the appeal with one or more of the referees and or even obtain advice from an additional referee. If the manuscript was not reviewed, the editor may solicit informal opinions from one or more external experts. In case, if Authors who wish to submit their manuscript elsewhere, they must first withdraw their appeal with us while it is under appeal at our journal.
